Today is the second post in our new series, "Decorating in Color from A-Z." In the first post last week, I shared some ideas to incorporate the color Aqua, you can read all about it here. As I continue to highlight a new color weekly, I hope to give you simple, practical ideas to add color to your home to make it feel more warm and inviting. Today I am sharing a very bold color combination that can definitely liven up any room, Black and white. Most people are afraid of the color black because of it's bold nature, but by using it on wallpaper or in furniture pieces like the image above, you can really make the color work in your home. I also love the idea of using black on throw pillows, dishes, lighting fixtures and like the images below. As long as you work to balance out the color black with other more muted tones, you can definitely use it boldly in your home. Here are some of my favorite black and white picks:
