It is hard for me to resist brightly hued neon colors, probably because I was born in the 80's. Thankfully, neon shades have made a comeback over the past couple years and are much more sophisticated now than they were back in the 80's. In the image above a neon pink laquered coffee table and a bright pink dog lamp add interest to the mostly neutral room, making it feel warmer.
When decorating with neon hues, it is important to make smart choices. Use these bright colors as accents to create a focal point, otherwise a room full of neon can seem overwhelming.
